Safeguarding in our Parish
The Five Alive Parish is committed to safeguarding for all, especially children and vulnerable adults
Our Safeguarding Policy is available here
and is also displayed in all our five Churches
In addition to Safeguarding, the PCC has adopted policies for:
the Recruitment of Ex-offenders, a Statement of Policy re DBS, Handling and Storage,
Promoting a Safer Church, and Responding Well to Domestic Abuse.
Safer Recruitment Guidance
We follow the Church of England Guidance on Safer Recruitment (July 2016). Churchwardens and
all those working with children or vulnerable adults undergo DBS checks, and receive regular
Safeguarding awareness training organised by the Diocese.
This Diocese wide initiative has been launched to help victims of past abuse. Leaflets and contact
details to access support are available at the back of every church.
