Intercessors’ workshop
Praying on behalf of others

There will be a get together on Saturday 15th November,
10.00 - 12.00 at Charlton Schoolroom
Everyone is welcome. We will be able to share ideas, talk about any
difficulties we experience and explore ways of making our prayers
 relevant and helpful to all.

Anyone who would like to join in by praying for others in our
services, large or small, will be most welcome
We will really value input from those who attended the first
workshop.

WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
First Friday in March 2009
PLANNING MEETING

Tuesday 18th November 2008

The Women's World Day of Prayer is a world-wide movement of Christian women of all traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer. The motto is 'Informed Prayer, Prayerful Action'. the Day of Prayer begins as dawn breaks over the islands of Tonga in the Pacific and continues across each continent until the last Services of this special day are held back in the Pacific, on the islands of Samoa, circling the world in prayer for about 36 hours.

The Service for 2009 comes from Papua New Guinea.  The theme they have chosen is 'In Christ there are many members yet one Body'.

There will be a meeting to plan this service and its preparation on Tuesday, 18th November 2.15 pm at Willow Cottage, Station Road,                   Fladbury.

I would welcome people from other traditions as well as our five Anglican Churches in this parish. If you are unable to come to this meeting, but would like to contribute in any way, please contact me.

is helping to rebuild Sophiatown Vibrant        Community which was deliberately destroyed by the apartheid   regime.

The preacher at the service will be a trustee of the fund who has visited the projects in South Africa.

PARISH PLODDERS

A group of walkers - thirteen two-legged and four four-legged - enjoyed a morning's walking from Pershore Bridge on Thursday 15th October. The early part of the walk was refreshed by steady rain, but by the time we entered Tiddesley Wood (between Pershore and    Birlingham) the rain had cleared. We emerged on the hillside above The   Holloway with fine views across to Pershore Abbey and Bredon Hill before returning to the riverside.

A most enjoyable 5 miles or so - thanks to the planning of Celia Willis and Peter Perry.

Walkers and 'waggers' are already looking forward to the next walk planned for Wednesday, 19th November, starting from The Sheppey Cropthorne. Peter (861791) and Celia (862348) are working on the details - all welcome.
