Action Team Linking Awareness Support For MISSION SUNDAY on 4th December 2011, £457 was raised for the Church Urban Fund, which works to eliminate poverty in the UK, and USPG, a major Anglican mission agency supporting partner churches, particularly in Africa and Asia, through leadership development and health work.
ATLAS SUNDAY is on 5th February. The preacher was the Revd Margaret Sweet from the Mission to Seafarers, following our theme of travelling. This was followed by a fundraising LUNCH at Upper Haselor Farm, by kind invitation of Richard and Maggie Mumford, with a raffle and “sea blue” bring and buy stall – with the sea or coloured blue – or nearly blue! A tremendous sum of £844 in total was raised and has been sent to the Mission to Seafarers.
For over 16 years, our CHRISTIAN AID WEEK fundraising has been organised by Diana Lacy of Fladbury. Diana now wishes to stand down and we need to find someone to replace her for this important and valued task.
